The first venture. Mobile and walk-in notarial work in Los Angeles — a service people need once, urgently, and rarely understand before they need it.
Once the notary operation ran, he built a course teaching other people to do the same thing. The course turned into a second income line — and funded the next step rather than borrowing for it.
He put the course income back into the notary business, expanding it and automating everything that did not need a person. That produced the template for everything after: take a service people find slow and confusing, standardise it, and run customer acquisition centrally — so opening a location does not mean building a back office.
The template applied cleanly to marriage. The first same-day chapel opened in Los Angeles; the model reproduced in San Francisco, Orange County, San Diego, Oceanside and New York. With partners Parker Alchanati and Andre Tolu he founded Virtual Same Day Marriage, using Utah's online licence framework to marry qualifying couples remotely — neither party visiting a courthouse.
Couples who had just married needed their certificates recognised abroad — which means apostilles, a process most people meet once, under deadline. Same Day Apostille covers walk-in and mobile work in Los Angeles. National Apostilles, founded in 2024, handles state and federal authentication nationwide, with its own people in Washington, DC for the documents only the U.S. Department of State can apostille.
Today the work is growth and operations rather than any single trade: opening markets, local search and business profiles, advertising and conversion, pricing, office expansion — and AI-assisted phone and scheduling systems, so a tenth location does not need a tenth set of administrators.
